Rendr is a mobile software application and web-based platform that employs artificial intelligence and mobile device technology to enable users to estimate measurements of the dimensions of rooms. The measurements made by Rendr may be used by building owners and occupants to obtain estimates and quotes for work to be performed in the rooms, and for contractors to provide estimates and quotes without having to visit the building.
The Rendr mobile software application and web platform was created and is owned by HomeQuote, Inc. aka Rendr (“Rendr”), a software application provider in the construction industry and specifically the building renovation industry.
Rendr respects the concerns of its users and is committed to protecting the privacy of the information that is collected through your use of our platform. Rendr has created this Privacy Policy to clearly outline how your personal information is used, and the following discloses our information-gathering and dissemination practices.
By using Rendr, you agree to this Privacy Policy. Rendr reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time and without prior notice. The revised Privacy Policy will apply to all information that Rendr may have about you. The current Privacy Policy will be posted at https://rendr.com/privacy/.
The Last Updated field at the top of this page indicates when this Privacy Policy was last modified. You should review this Privacy Policy on a regular basis as your continued use of Rendr indicates your agreement with the Privacy Policy that is posted at the time of your use.
Access to Rendr may be provided directly by Rendr and/or through partner organizations (e.g., Apple App Store, Google Play Store) that have contracted with Rendr to make Rendr available to users. Rendr is the sole owner of the information collected on this site and via the app, except as may be required by state or federal law.
Who Uses Rendr?
Users of Rendr are categorized in one of three categories: (1) building owners and occupants, (2) contractors, and (3) insurance estimators.

We may log usage information when you visit or otherwise use our Services, including our sites, app and platform technology, such as when you view or click on content or ads (on or off our sites and apps), perform a search, install or update one of our mobile apps, and share information. We use log-ins, cookies, device information, and internet protocol (“IP”) addresses to identify you and log your use. We may use cookies and similar technologies (e.g., pixels and ad tags) to collect and receive information (e.g., IP address, proxy server, operating system, web browser and add-ons, device identifiers, features and/or location, cookie IDs and/or ISP, or your mobile carrier) to recognize you and your device(s) on, off, and across different services and devices where you have used our products and services. We will ask you to opt in before we use GPS or other tools to identify your precise location.

Please note that we do not currently alter our data collection and use practices in response to browser-based Do Not Track (DNT) signals. However, to the extent required by applicable state privacy laws, we do honor Global Privacy Control (GPC) opt-out preference signals as a valid request to opt out of the sale and sharing of your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising. See the “Your Privacy Rights” section below for more information.

AI-Generated Data and Automated Processing
The Rendr platform uses artificial intelligence, machine learning, and computer vision technologies to analyze images you submit and to automatically generate room measurements, spatial estimates, and related outputs (“AI-Generated Outputs”). In connection with this processing, Rendr may collect and store the images you submit, the resulting AI-Generated Outputs, and metadata associated with your submissions (such as device type, timestamp, and location information if you have granted location access).
AI-Generated Outputs are used to provide the core functionality of the Rendr platform, to improve our AI models and algorithms, and for quality assurance purposes. We do not use the room images you submit to identify individuals depicted in those images, and we do not use such images to infer sensitive personal characteristics unrelated to the renovation-estimating purpose of the platform.
How Information Is Used by Rendr
Rendr uses information that is collected, both voluntarily and automatically, for various business purposes. We use your information in order to fulfill requests from you, or otherwise to pursue our legitimate business interests. In addition to providing your contact and building information to prospective contractors and estimators regarding your project, we may use your information for product and business development, industry research, and marketing purposes including communications such as emails and app notifications. Marketing purposes may include providing targeted advertisements or marketing communications we believe may be of interest to you.
For more information about how targeted advertising works, you can visit the Network Advertising Initiative’s (“NAI”) educational page at http://www.networkadvertising.org/understanding-online-advertising/how-does-it-work.
You can opt out of targeted advertising by visiting the links below:

Additionally, you can opt out of some of these services by visiting the Digital Advertising Alliance’s opt-out portal at: http://optout.aboutads.info/.
Rendr may also share information with third parties or service providers with whom we have contracted to provide services related to Rendr. These third parties are only authorized to use or disclose information as necessary to perform the services on our behalf and to comply with legal requirements. For example, Rendr may provide information to third-party analytics organizations to assist Rendr in understanding how the platform is being used. Rendr will not sell, share (for cross-context behavioral advertising), or rent any personally identifiable information entered by you, or collected through your use of Rendr, to third parties for their own independent purposes without your express permission, except as set forth in this Privacy Policy.
Reporting
Rendr may be required, or may decide, to report suspected illegal activity of a user detected by Rendr to governmental authorities as Rendr deems appropriate in its sole discretion.
In addition, we reserve the right to release PII to governmental authorities because of suspected illegal activity, if the information is subpoenaed, or if we deem it necessary and/or appropriate in view of the circumstances.
Research and Analytics
Rendr may use the information collected for research purposes to improve our platform and understand how users benefit from using Rendr. Rendr may use proprietary analytics tools and/or third-party analytics providers, such as Google Analytics, to understand how our platform is used.
Communications
Rendr may use third-party providers to distribute newsletters and other communications to users. Rendr may provide email addresses, names, and other information to enable the third-party provider to deliver this service. Third-party providers are required to use the information only to provide the services for which they are contracted by Rendr. Users should refer to the third-party provider’s privacy policy for information on how they use and protect information they may collect directly.
AI-Powered Features and Automated Decision-Making
Rendr uses AI-powered computer vision to process the images you upload and automatically generate room measurements and renovation-cost estimates. This automated processing is central to the platform’s core functionality. You acknowledge that AI-Generated Outputs are approximations and that Rendr does not guarantee their accuracy. You should independently verify all AI-Generated Outputs before relying on them for any contracting, permitting, or purchasing decisions.
Rendr does not use automated processing to make legally significant or similarly significant decisions about you as an individual (such as decisions affecting your creditworthiness, employment, housing, or insurance eligibility). AI processing is used solely for the purpose of generating renovation-related measurements and cost estimates.
Where required by applicable law, you may have the right to opt out of automated decision-making or to request human review of automated outputs. To exercise any such right, please contact us using the information in the “How to Contact Rendr” section below.
Data Retention
Rendr retains your personal information and the images and data you submit for as long as your account remains active, or as long as necessary to provide you with our services, comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. When your account is deactivated or terminated, we will take steps to delete or anonymize your personal information within a commercially reasonable period, unless we are required by law to retain it longer.
AI-Generated Outputs and the underlying images you submit may be retained in anonymized or aggregated form for the purpose of improving our AI models and platform performance, even after your account is closed, provided that such retained data cannot reasonably be used to identify you.

These protections include the use of perimeter firewalls, regular security patches, multi-factor authentication options, and Transport Layer Security (TLS) / Secure Socket Layer (SSL) encryption.

Notification will be provided within the timeframes required by law, which vary by jurisdiction but are typically between 30 and 72 hours for regulatory notification and without unreasonable delay for consumer notification.

Rendr may process your information in Canada and/or the United States. By using the Rendr app, you are agreeing to our processing of your information in those countries. Please be aware that the privacy laws in Canada and the United States may differ from those in your country of residence.
